Public invited to learn about, share input on recommendations for new accountability framework in Saint Paul Public Schools
4/16/2002 9:55 AM

The Saint Paul Public Schools invite the public to learn about and to provide input on a new accountability framework to be recommended to Superintendent Pat Harvey this spring. The Superintendent’s Accountability Framework Task Force, which includes a cross section of administrators, principals, teachers, parents, business people and representatives from the Saint Paul Federation of Teachers, has been working for the last four months to develop a new accountability framework for categorizing schools against a set of performance standards that provides a measure of how well schools are serving their students.

Now in the final stages of its work, the task force has scheduled two meetings to gather additional community input and to present major conclusions to date prior to completing and submitting a final report to Superintendent Harvey. Meetings about the Accountability Framework Task Force recommendations are set for Monday, April 22, 6:30 to 8 p.m. at J.J. Hill Montessori School, 998 Selby Ave., and Wednesday, April 24, 6:30 to 8 p.m. at Johnson High School, 1349 Arcade St.

Hmong and Spanish interpreters will be available. Child care also is available by calling Sylvia Perez in the Office of Family and Community Involvement at (651) 767-8565.
