My name is Diane Smith. I believe that Hamline Elementary is a wonderful school. I believe this so much that my son, Isaiah and my daughter, Kiley attended Hamline Elementary from Kindergarten to 6th grade. Isaiah is now a sophomore at Normandale in Bloomington. Kiley, is now in 12th grade at Richfield High School. Both of my children are very successful, due to the great education they had at Hamline Elementary!
I have taught for over31 years, all in the St. Paul School district. I have taught 2nd grade, 5th grade, and 6th grade. I did my undergraduate work for my Bachelors of Science degree in Elementary Education at MN State University- Mankato. I completed my Masters of Science degree in Curriculum and Instruction at St. Cloud State University.
In my spare time I enjoy spending time with my family. We enjoy many outdoor activities such as biking, walking, swimming, and hiking. My favorite thing to do is fishing and boating on Minnesota lakes. I also enjoy traveling, mainly to Northern Minnesota, Northern Idaho, and Mexico. Of course, I love teaching and I think the students and families at Hamline are wonderful.
