The events are part of a celebration to mark the inaugural year of the Aerospace Program at Farnsworth and Cleveland, which this year expanded to include middle level students through eighth grade. “We’re excited about the change,” said Principal Troy Vincent. “If families are looking for a place to have their students engaged in science-related learning, our schools are the place to be.” Among the things the expansion allows for a deeper delving into engineering aspects of aerospace sciences and exploring more complex issues surrounding the subjects, he said. This week’s activities include: • The ExploraDome Planetarium: Tuesday all day at Cleveland Jr. High School; Wednesday at Farnsworth Aerospace Magnet. • A visit with astronaut Duane “Digger” Carey: Thursday, 10 a.m. at Cleveland; 2 p.m. at Farnsworth. • Parade: Thursday, 6 p.m. • International Space Station Engineer Ron Caswell: Friday, 10:15 a.m. at Farnsworth; 1:35 p.m. at Cleveland. ### NOTE TO EDITORS: For more information, contact Principal Troy Vincent at (651) 293-8675 or (651) 293-8880.
