Group of seniors are first Saint Paul Public Schools students
to be honored by Wallin Scholarship Program
Saint Paul, Minn – Sixteen Saint Paul Public Schools seniors who have their sights set on empowering and helping others are receiving a boost from the Wallin Scholarship Program and its partners.
The honorees are the first SPPS students to be honored by the Wallin Scholarship Program, which annually awards about 150 scholarships to students who demonstrate financial need, academic ability and the motivation to attend college and graduate.
“Through hard work, dedication and sacrifice, these students have shown that there is reason to look to the future with optimism,” said Saint Paul Public Schools Superintendent Meria Carstarphen. “Thanks to the Wallin Scholarship Program, they are a step closer to making their mark in the world, just as the program and its partners continue their legacy of hope for our students.”
The Wallin Scholarship Program works to encourage and support students who might not otherwise attend or graduate from college. The Holman, Cornwell, Eric, McCary, Sampson, M&I Bank, Finch, Ronald, Hays, Mulrooney, Pierce, and Junior League of Minneapolis Scholarships are all contributors to the Wallin Scholarship Program.
