Agriculture Education

  • Agriculture is a highly technical and ever-changing industry upon which everyone is dependent. It is essential to Minnesota’s economy. Agriscience prepares and supports individuals for careers in, and builds awareness and develops leadership for, the food, floral design, aquaculture, biotechnology, equine science and other important natural resources areas. As a new area in CTE at SPPS, students and teachers are excited to be studying about animal systems, plant systems and ag natural resources.

An FFA Chapter(also known as Future Farmers of America (FFA) is also available. The goal of FFA is to foster a future in which all agricultural education students will discover their passion in life and build on that insight to chart the course for their educations, career and personal future.
