Yvonne Anderson - Co-Chair (email@example.com)
Hello. My husband Chet and I moved to St. Paul, MN in 2006 and are proud parents of 2 children who will be entering 8th and 4th grade this year. I currently work for Ramsey County Library. When I have a spare moment (rare), I love to sit at my sewing machine and create fabulous(ish) craft projects.
We have been Capitol Hill parents since 2011 and this will be my second year as PTO Co-Chair. I strongly believe in the educational opportunities that Capitol Hill offers its students, feel that the PTO can play an important role in supporting the wonderful teachers and staff at the school. Michelle and I share a commitment to building community and are excited about working with the many wonderful parents in the school.
Michelle Neal - Co-Chair (firstname.lastname@example.org)
Hello - I'm Michelle. My husband Scott and I moved to St. Paul from Buffalo, NY in 2010 for both work and family. This is my 4th year as a Capitol Hill parent, and I am thankful for the education and environment Capitol Hill provides for them. I have twins in 4th grade this year; I'm not quite sure who is more eager for this year's Great Minnesota Rendezvous - the kids or me! (Tho my tune may change come spring!) In my spare time I like to read, go camping, shotgun quirky HBO, Amaxon & Netflix shows, practice yoga, and hang with folks I enjoy.
I am happy to serve as PTO Co-Chair again this year with Yvonne and welcome the involvement and ideas from our new officers, Sommaly and Yeng. Our aim this year is to share resources and information that will strengthen our kids' educational experience, foster family connections across the school community, and grow involvement in the Parent Teacher Organization at Capitol Hill.
Sommaly Yang - Treasurer (email@example.com)
Hello. I'm looking forward to the opportunity of serving on the PTO as Treasurer. My entourage consist of a husband, two sons, and two daughters; three of which are students at Capitol Hill. I work full-time but 'after hours' you can find me at my children's sporting events, volunteering with Cub Scouts, and chasing my 18-month old. I also love to spend time with family and friends, play board games, eat, read, and watch The Walking Dead.
Nyob zoo (hello). I have been with Capitol Hill since 2005. I am an alumni of Bethel College and Concordia University-St. Paul. I am bilingual but if you count the language of numbers then I'm trilingual. I enjoy crocheting, quilting, photography, gardening, and supporting my children's involvement in sports, theatre, and all other miscellaneous activities.
I am proud of Capitol Hill's continual commitment in providing a creative and challenging curriculum for all student; which I just discovered is made possible through the countless hours and efforts from PTO and volunteers.
