Saint Paul Public Schools students compete for spelling supremacy
Saint Paul, Minn.- Students from 12 Saint Paul Public Schools are set to compete in the2009 Districtwide High Spelling Bee, Saturday, February 21, 2009. The24 students competing in Tuesday's competition earned their spots bycompeting in competitions at their schools and, new this year, includesa trio of fifth-graders. They are each vying to be one of two studentsrepresenting SPPS at the Regional competition to be held March 14, 2009at the Minnesota History Center.
Also, this year, the competition can be seen on Saint Paul Cable Channel 16 March 3, 7, 10 and 17 at 10 a.m. and 4 p.m.
