|  | Top education official to visit Saint Paul Public School 3/10/2008 1:23 PMMedia Advisory Office of Community Relations Contact: Brett Johnson (651) 767-8107 March 10, 2008 Saint Paul, Minn – Kristine Cohn, Regional Representative to the U.S. Secretary of Education for Minnesota, Illinois, Indiana, Michigan, Ohio and Wisconsin, will be in Saint Paul Tuesday visiting schools that represent changes taking place in Saint Paul Public Schools.
Regional Representative Cohn is in town to learn first-hand about the district’s best practices in helping our students to prepare for success in the 21st century global economy. She will also continue her work to improve awareness and understanding of federal education policies and programs, including the No Child Left Behind law's focus on providing all children with high-quality education.
Included in the schools Regional Representative Cohn is set to visit are the newly dedicated Gordon Parks High School, Washington Technology Middle School, where BioSMART programming is set to launch next year, and North End Elementary, where students next year will begin the academy model in kindergarten through grade three.
