Saint Paul Public Schools Chief Academic Officer Valeria Silva has beenselected by the Broad Center for the Management of School Systems toparticipate in the 2008 Broad Superintendents Academy. The academy is a10-month executive management-training program to train top executivesfrom education, military, business, non-profit and governmentbackgrounds to lead urban public school districts. The academy is theonly program in the country that recruits and trains non-traditionalsuperintendent candidates, as well as career educators.
