| | Board looking for feedback on proposed school calendars 4/15/2004 1:45 PMAt its March 23 meeting, the Committee of the Board of the Saint Paul Board of Education voted to approve the recommended school year calendar for 2004-05.
The Board will take action at a meeting before the end of this school year on the calendars for 2005-06 and 2006-07, which were recommended by the District Calendar Committee.
2004-05: The 2004-05 calendar is similar to the 2003-04 school year calendar.
2005-06 and 2006-07: The recommended calendar for these years shortens the two-week break at winter, increases instructional days in January, and allows school to end by the first or second Friday in June.
The District Calendar Committee has sought feedback on this recommendation from various stakeholder groups, including principals, teachers, and parents. If you have comments, concerns, ideas that you would like to share regarding the proposed calendars, please send an email to webmaster@spps.org no later than April 14, 2004.
