Fair helps students and their parents start planning for college 3/10/2005 2:05 PMIt's never too early to start planning for college--and there's a lot of planning for students and parents to do. That's why Saint Paul Public Schools is hosting the "Thinking College Early Fair" from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday, April 16, at the Rondo Education Center (560 Concordia Ave., Saint Paul).
Saint Paul Public Schools students who are currently in grades 7-10 and interested in going to a four-year college, a two-year institution, a technical school or another postsecondary option after they graduate from high school are invited to attend the free event and bring their families.
The fair will focus on why college is important, how to plan for college, how to choose a college and how to pay for college. Information will be presented in English, Hmong, Spanish.
Students who attend will also have the opportunity to win one of five $1,000 scholarships, which will be given away during the event.
