Saint Paul students to celebrate the life of Martin Luther King, Jr.

Performers from Saint Paul Public Schools will sing, dance and read poetry at the 16th annual celebration commemorating the life and work of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr., from noon to 1 p.m. on Friday, January 14, 2000, in the State Capitol Rotunda.

The theme for this year’s celebration is “Peace and Justice in the New Millennium.” Performers include students from Highland Park Senior High School, Como Park Elementary School, Galtier Elementary Magnet School, Washington Middle School, World Cultures and Languages Elementary Magnet School, Maxfield Elementary Magnet School, Hayden Heights Elementary School and Battle Creek Middle School.
