The Saint Paul Board of Education, or school board, is responsible for the care, management and control of the school district. Click here to view the Vision, Mission and Ends Statement.
The seven board members are elected at large during the general municipal elections held biennially in odd-numbered years and serve four-year terms. Each year, as required by law, the board elects a chair, a vice-chair, a clerk and a treasurer.
Board of Education meetings are usually held monthly at the District's Administration Building, 360 Colborne. Minutes of these meetings (and the monthly Committee of the Board meetings) are available after their approval at the following month's Board meeting. For more information about the Board of Education, call (651) 767-8149. Below are links to additional Board information:
NOTE: THE SPPS POLICY MANUAL HAS BEEN REVISED. COPIES OF THE PROPOSED MANUAL ARE AVAILABLE FOR PUBLIC REVIEW AT EACH SCHOOL.
Comment or suggested changes to policies must be received, in writing, by the Secretary to the Board (marilyn.polsfuss@spps.org) no later than May 2
