Saint Paul Public School District Announces New Interim Principal Assignments for 2006-2007 School Year 7/18/2006 8:20 PMSaint Paul, Minn. — The Saint Paul Public School Board today announced
the approval of three principal assignments to schools in the Saint
Paul Public School District. These appointments include:
- Tim Williams, Principal, Humboldt Junior High -- Williams was
assistant principal at Humboldt Junior High School for the last six
years and taught in the Saint Paul Public School District for four
years. He was previously a member of the board at the Minnesota
Association of Secondary School Principals (MASSP) and was president of
MASSP's Capitol Division.
- Tyrone Brookins, Principal, Museum Magnet Elementary -- Brookins
was an assistant principal at Webster Magnet Elementary for the last
four years and a summer school principal in the Saint Paul Public
School District for the last three. He has spent 10 years as a math
teacher in Saint Paul and other districts.
- Todd Bartholomy, Principal, Open School -- Bartholmy was assistant
principal at Johnson Senior High School prior to his appointment to
Open School, and has been in the Saint Paul Public School District as a
social studies and English teacher, as well as various administrative
positions at the schools, for the last decade.
"We have a tradition of strong leadership in Saint Paul Public
Schools," said Elona Street -Stewart, Saint Paul Public School Board
Chair. "This new group of principals continues that tradition and they
have the skills to make a difference in what is already a great school
district. We're confident they're up to the challenge of helping our
students achieve their potential."
The appointments are effective August 7, 2006.
