| Truth in Taxation hearing is Tuesday, Dec. 13 12/12/2005 2:05 PMMembers of the Ramsey County Board of Commissioners, the Saint Paul City Council and the Saint Paul Board of Education will attend and update attendees on the upcoming property tax levy and explain the factors affecting the levy. For example, since the original notices were mailed out, the levy has been reduced by $2.8 million due to the Saint Paul School District’s delayed implementation of the state’s performance-based pay for teachers program. The hearing will include brief remarks by a representative from each government unit, public comment and an opportunity for the public to meet with appraisers who will address specific issues related to individual property taxes and valuations.
