| Dear Friends and Mentors of the Hmong Mentorship Program: | | August 25, 2005
Nyob Zoo!
It is with great pleasure that I welcome you to another year of great mentoring! As we begin a new school year, I would like to take this opportunity to thank all the mentors who spent precious time and gave guidance to support our students this past year. You contributed to the success of the Hmong Mentorship Program. The Saint Paul Public Schools truly appreciated your time, knowledge and guidance for our students. THANK YOU!
As we begin a new school year, I am writing to invite you to become a mentor, or if you were a mentor last year, we hope that you will continue to be a mentor for our students. We had a very successful mentoring program last year. We had over 132 mentors mentoring 233 students at three schools. We had a variety of mentors who were high school students, college students, community leaders, and business leaders.
Your support, by being a mentor, will make a difference in the lives of students and help provide them with hope, guidance, and motivation to be successful as they resettle in Saint Paul.
In this site you will find detailed information about the mentorship program, volunteer application, and facts about the Saint Paul Public School District. If you are interested in being a mentor with the Hmong Mentorship Program, please complete the attached form and return it to me.
Thank you for your consideration. I look forward to hearing from you. Please feel free to call me if you have any questions at 651-767-8124.
Sincerely,
Mo Chang, Coordinator Hmong Mentorship Program Saint Paul Public Schools
