Schools See Improved Climate with Restorative Practices

Inspired by the philosophy of restorative justice, restorative practices provides a model for building community. The model focuses on repairing harm to relationships instead of assigning blame and dispensing punishment. Last fall, six SPPS pilot schools launched a school-designed, community-driven implementation of the model supported by and in collaboration with the St. Paul Teacher Federation (SPFT).
