Group Leaders are responsible for planning and implementing engaging activities for Pre K-5th grade students, building relationships with students, guiding behavior, and giving work direction to part-time staff. Group Assistants work before or after school or as substitutes at various Discovery Club sites. Group Assistants support Group Leaders in implementing developmentally appropriate and engaging lesson plans or assist in supporting children with special needs. Applicants must have either 12 post-secondary credits related to children and families or 120 hours of training or a combination of credits / training and hours of experience working with children. Greeters are responsible for giving Discovery Club families access to the site through use of the security system, greeting parents and families, checking identification when required, and other duties as assigned by the Discovery Club Site Manager. Must have good communication skills, ability to work as part of a team, ability to follow through on work direction, and positive attitude. Apply with application form to the left.
