My name is Kathy Farm and I have been a teacher with Saint Paul Schools since 1997.
I teach Family and Consumer Science classes, including Culinary, Clothing, Child Developement and Independent Living. These classes count as a CTE (technology) credit for students.
This is my first year at Harding High School and I teach hours 1-3 and then travel to OWL (Open World Learning) to teach a class every day. I started my teaching career with SPPS, teaching at Humbolt Junior High, the same building OWL is housed in. The building is recognizable but much improved, with technology being a priority. The Expeditionary Learning and standards based grading are compatible with the hands-on activites of the CTE curriculum. These FACS classes reach students with a wide range of abilities and interests.
