CREDIT RECOVERY & EL LANGUAGE DEVELOPMENT
Students in grades 9-12 can stay on track for graduation through credit recovery and EL Language Development (current-SPPS students only) during Summer Session 1 and/or Summer Session 2. Students will be enrolled through their regular school counselor.
Grades K-8. A four-week summer session that provides students the opportunity to discover talents and interests, make new friends, and prevent summer learning loss.
Grades K-8. A six-week program that strengthens literacy and math skills. Field trips, the arts and books celebrate the culture of the students, building leadership, pride and persistence.
HMONG KAREN YOUTH PRIDE PROGRAM (HKYP)
Grades K-4. A six-week program that provides literacy, math and cultural enrichment in Hmong and Karen.
Grades K-4. A six-week program that is designed to help students gain new academic skills and prepare to return to school in the fall ready to excel.
OTHER SUMMER LEARNING PROGRAMS
Grades K-11. Students can participate in sports, arts, environmental and cultural programs with other students from across the metro area.
Grades 5-7. Students can study instrumental music during Summer Session 1 or Summer Session 2. Instruments and music books are provided.
Transportation is available to most students attending a Summer Learning Program based on the Area of the student’s home or alternate address.
