Take a Test, Get College Credit

-
The College Level Examination Program (CLEP) and Minnesota Bilingual Seal may allow students to earn college credits by testing out of introductory college subjects. Minnesota State (formerly MNSCU, Minnesota State Colleges and Universities) give college credit for CLEP examinations completed successfully.
- See the CLEP website for information on other schools that accept CLEP credits.
- See Minnesota Bilingual Seal website for more information on getting credit for fluency in languages other than English.
Minnesota Bilingual Seal Assessments: Students fluent in English and at least one other language can get credit for that language proficiency by testing for the Minnesota Bilingual Seal, which allows them save both time and money by entering college with college language credits on their transcripts. Talk to a teacher or counselor for more information.
Students may also test out of college course through the Advanced Placement and International Baccalaureate programs.
