Greetings from the 4th grade. My name is Barbara Merritt and this will be my first year teaching at Galtier Community School. I have 19 years of experience in elementary education. I received my Bachelor of Science from George Williams College and my Masters of Education from St. Thomas University. I have lived in the Twin Cities for 22 years. My family consists of my husband and two adult children. In my free time, I enjoy quilting, fishing and reading.

I am passionate about teaching and receive immense joy when students embrace learning new things.
