About Me

This year I am teaching Language through Geography, Language through Social Studies, 7th grade English Language Development (ELD), and co-teaching American Studies 7 with Ms. Xiong (6th hour) and with Mr. Raboin (2nd Hour.)

I have lived in Minnesota most of my life. I grew up near Minneapolis and I then attended the University of Minnesota and graduated with a B.A. in Japanese. I later returned to the U and went on to earn my ESL teaching license and an M.Ed. in Second Languages and Cultures Education. This is my 14th year teaching EL in Twin Cities area schools. I have also taught English for two years in Japan and for two years in Belgium.

When I am not teaching, I love to play violin, sew, read, travel abroad, and spend time with my friends, family and my dog Fred.
