Hello Hazel Park families! My name is Anthony Daniel and I teach 7th grade Pre-Algebra and 8th grade Algebra. I began teaching at HPPA in 2018 and enjoy coming back every year. I completed my undergraduate studies at St. Cloud State and am almost finished with a master's degree in Math Teaching from Hamline University.

I believe in presenting mathematics in a way that is unintimidating and accessible for all students. I try to shake up the boring routines that may have defined math learning in the past and seek out exciting ways for myself and my students to visualize new concepts. In addition to mathematics, I have also taught ESL to young learners for several years in Taiwan and Thailand. 

In my free time I enjoy fishing, camping, and learning survival skills.  

I look forward to working with my returning 8th graders this year and meeting my new 7th grade students!
