Parkway Montessori PTO

The Parkway Montessori Parent Teacher Organization (PTO) is a group of Parkway staff and parents working together to support the Parkway Community.
The three main priorities of the Parkway Montessori PTO are:
To support our school community- through volunteering, special events, fundraising, and ongoing projects.
To build strong connections with and between families and staff through information and communication among parents, the school and the district.
To raise money to support learning opportunities in and out of the classroom, and to help our students and teachers with special initiatives.
Our organization is relatively young, as is our school, and we are always seeking community input on how we can best serve our students, families, staff and the community as a whole.
If you are a parent, guardian and/or caregiver of a child at Parkway Montessori, congratulations! You are already a member of the PTO. We hope to see you at a meeting, event, or volunteering in the school our out of your home. Your involvement is invaluable and is what makes us strong — it shows the children how much you value their education and that you support our school in providing it.

To support the Parkway community, build strong connections with and between families and staff and encourage a fun and respectful learning environment
Become a sustainable organization that helps foster community and Montessori education. We will achieve this through a large volunteer base, a regular leadership rotation, strong fundraising capacity and events that are relevant and desirable to our community. We will operate transparently and be good stewards of our budget to maximize the support we can provide to our students, staff and families. We will encourage and provide opportunities to facilitate conversations between families and the school. We will advocate for all members of our community.
Meetings occur on the 2nd Tuesday of each Month during the school year. Check the Parkway School Calendar (https://www.spps.org/Page/106) for PTO Meeting dates among other events happening at the school.
