Mr. Paul

Mr. Paul is ecstatic to be the theatre and improv teacher at Battle Creek Middle School. He has been a theatre arts educator for seventeen years in Chicago, Minneapolis, and St. Paul.  He is a proud recent graduate of the University of Minnesota: Twin Cities where he recieved his Masters in Education.  Mr. Paul is also a drummer of twenty seven years and enjoys playing and writing music with his friends.  He is passionate about helping young people of all ages connect, collaborate, and create through theatre arts.  

Improv Class

  • Improv is short for improvisation.  This is a creative artform that helps people of all ages learn how to respectfully listen, respond, and adapt in the moment.  In our class, we will focus on comedy and how to apply the techniques of improvisation in everyday life

Theatre Class

  • All Theatre Arts classes focus on empathy, collaboration, storytelling, and ensemble buidling.  Everyone person's story matters.  Our theatre classes have a modern approach that brings student culture and interests into the daily curriculum.
