Mr. Al Levin

  • Welcome to the 2021-2022 school year!  My name is Al Levin. I'm excited to start my first year at Hazel Park Preparatory Academy this year.  I have worked in Saint Paul Public Schools for over twenty years! My last nine years were spent as an assistant principal at Global Arts Plus (previously Linwood Monroe Arts Plus).

    I started as a teaching assistant before going back for a teaching license in ESL and Japanese. Once licensed, I became an English Language Learner (ELL) teacher. After teaching for several years, I became an ELL Resource Teacher and began my path to administration.

    I have four children (Julia, Georgia, Isabel, & Sam) and a wonderful wife, Jill, who was a Saint Paul Public School PreK teacher until taking a leave when we had twins in 2011. She now teaches at the St. Kate's preschool program.

    I am excited and honored to be working at Hazel Park Preparatory Academy!
