Gaozuapa Lee - LD Special Education Teacher

Hello. My name is Gao Lee one of the Special Education teachers at Johnson High School. I am the Reading teacher and will also be co-teaching English 10 this year. This year will be my 2nd year as a full-time teacher. Prior to Johnson High School, I was a tutor/coach at Harding for two years working with 9th and 10th grade students in reading and math. Followed after, I attended St. Thomas University through SPPS's SUTR Program did my student teaching residency at Farnsworth Upper Middle School. I became a teacher because I love working with students and seeing them grow as learners and individuals. I cannot wait to be supporting and teaching more students this year.

A couple things about me - I love to travel, hike and camping. For two weeks this summer I went on a road trip with my younger sister driving through and making stops in South Dakota, Wyoming, northern Utah, Nevada, California. We stayed in California for 4 days and road tripped back hitting up Nevada, southern Utah, and made our last stop in Colorado before heading home. We camped out in Colorado for 3 days and 2 nights. It was probably one of my favorite stays during this trip along with California.

Costco is my favorite place to grocery shop. It was also life saver during my trip from bathroom breaks, getting gas for a cheaper price, and food runs.
