Ms. Steph joined SPPS as a school social worker in 2020. Prior to this position, Ms. Steph was a mental health provider in a variety of settings, primarily working with early childhood and elementary aged kids and their caregivers. She received her Bachelor of Arts from St. Olaf College in 2011 where she majored in Religion and Sociology/Anthropology. She completed a Master's in Social Work with a focus on clinical mental health at the University of Minnesota-Twin Cities in 2016. While completing her MSW, she interned at Battle Creek Elementary School. She is so glad to be a part of SPPS!
When she isn't working, she enjoys going on walks with her dog, visiting new places, biking, reading, practicing ceramics, playing trombone, and watching soccer and basketball. Ms. Steph enjoys traveling and learning languages. She spent a summer in Nepal and learned some conversational Nepali (she is pretty rusty), but she hopes to go back in the near future!
Ms. Steph is so excited to meet with students and families at both Dayton's Bluff Achievement Plus and Eastern Heights Elementary Schools!
