AP - Advanced Placement
Central AP Info
-
The Advanced Placement Program (AP) began at Central in 1994. Juniors and seniors are eligible for AP courses. There is no entrance requirement, although a pre-requisite course may be necessary in preparation for the AP class. The student must be academically ready and highly motivated to engage in the rigors of the scope and depth of the APcourse. Administered by the College Board, APcourses are standardized nationally. Exams are administered each May and graded externally. If students test well, college credits may be awarded by most colleges in the United States and Canada.
