Ms. Mollie Packard
Mollie Packard is a Special Education Teaching Assistant at Wellstone Elementary, having joined the staff in 2021. Ms. Packard graduated from the Saint Paul Public Schools and although she has pursued interests in Political Science and Criminal Justice, she is strongly considering obtaining a teaching degree.
When not at Wellstone, this adventurer enjoys the outdoors and hiking, especially along the beautiful Mississippi River with her Australian Shepherd, Doug. Ms. Packard is passionate about swimming, canoeing, hanging out in her hammock, listening to podcasts, reading narratives (especially the survival genre), watching musicals, making homemade pot pies and vegan cheese, and snuggling with her cat, Tussy.
A life-long resident of the Twin Cities, Mollie loves the area but is considering a possible move, even if just a temporary one, to join family in Ireland.
The educator is a firm believer in public schools. She appreciates that they are open to all students and that everyone has the opportunity to participate. One of Mollie’s favorite quotes is, “To attain happiness in another world we need only to believe something, while to secure it in this world we must do something” -Charlotte Perkins Gilman
