Degrees and Certifications:
B.S. in Elementary Education from the University of Minnesota-Twin Cities
Welcome to Kindergarten at Galtier Community School!
My name is Darya Fidelman. I started teaching in St. Paul Public Schools in 2012.
I graduated from the University of Minnesota-Twin Cities in 2011 with a Bachelors of Science degree in Elementary Education. I currently hold an Elementary Education license (K-6), Pre-Primary endorsement (age 3 to K), and a Masters Degree.
I have a passion for making school fun and comfortable for all students, while at the same time, inspiring them towards academic excellence. I hope to work very closely with the families of the students in my classroom to ensure that every student has a successful year.
I have lived in Minneapolis my entire life. I come from a family of six and a family of teachers. I am the youngest in my family by two minutes (I have a twin sister, who is a teacher in Minneapolis), two older sisters and one brother. A couple of my family’s favorite things to do together are going camping at Gooseberry Falls and kayaking on Lake Superior.
The easiest way to reach me is by email at firstname.lastname@example.org. If you email me and would like to be called back, please be sure to leave a phone number in the message. I can usually respond to emails several times during the day and after school. You can also get ahold of me on Dojo and Seesaw!
If you do not have access to email, you can also send notes with your student and place it in his/her take home folder, which goes home every Wednesday.
I look forward to working with you to build a strong educational foundation for your Kindergartener this school year!
