Ms. Laura Priebe
Hello! My name is Laura Priebe and I am excited to be teaching second grade and working in the 2/3 studio. I started teaching at Galtier Community School after completing my Bachelor of Arts degree in Elementary Education from Minnesota State University, Mankato in 2011. Currently I am finishing my Master’s in K-12 Education with a concentration in ENVoY: Classroom Management Strategies at Bethel University in Saint Paul.
One of my favorite parts of teaching is building relationships with my students and being a part of their growth. I find it essential to learn about students’ strengths and use those to help personalize learning in order for each child to reach his or her highest potential. In addition to building strong student-teacher relationships, I believe in building positive family-teacher relationships and look forward to doing that with you and your child. In our second grade classroom and 2/3 studio, we will be working daily to build a community of learners who are safe, respectful and responsible.
In my free time I enjoy as much time as I can get outside doing any activity in the sun such as biking, hiking, camping or taking walks. Originally from Iowa, I treasure any time I can spend down with my family and two nieces baking or going to the park. It is my personal goal each day to listen, learn and push my students' development as I plan and provide them with ways to grow academically, socially and personally.
Our studio door is always open to visitors. Please contact me with any questions or concerns you may have throughout the school year.
