Hello Mississippi Creative Arts!

My name is Ms. Schumacher, and this year is my first year teaching! I have always had a passion for working with students and watching them grow. My love for teaching started at a young age when I helped my mom teach preschool at her daycare. 

I graduated Summa Cum Laude from the University of St. Thomas in 2021 with a major in Elementary Education and a co-major in STEM Education. During my time at UST, I had the incredible opportunity of working at the Playful Learning Lab. Check out the PLL's projects, research, and resources here: Playful Learning Lab Website. 

In my free time I love camping with my family, hiking and enjoying the outdoors, spending quality time with friends, and experiencing live music concerts. My favorite place I've traveled to so far is Rome, Italy, and I hope to continue traveling in the future!
