Grace Herndon

Hello! My name is Grace Herndon, but the children call me Ms. Grace. I am the second grade teacher at Cherokee Heights.

I grew up in East Grand Forks, a small town in northern Minnesota…BRRRRR!! After completing my undergrad at University of Minnesota Duluth, I went on to get my Master’s in Elementary Education from Hamline University.

I am passionate about providing an equitable education for all children. I love teaching at Cherokee Heights because the staff and children believe that every child can succeed. In our classroom this year we will study reading, writing, math, social studies, science, and so much more.

Outside of work, I love spending time with my family, my nephew being a big part of my life. I also enjoy being active. I grew up playing hockey and continue to play every Thursday night. While at home, you can find me cooking, reading, or gardening.  I am always open to new recipes and book recommendations.

The best to reach me is through email. I check my email daily and try to get back to families within 24 hours.
