Degrees and Certifications:

Brianna Pischke

My name is Ms. Pischke and I am a new Health/PE teacher at Highland Park Senior High! I am no stranger to Highland Park as I student taught here as well as have been a substitute teacher since 2016. Prior to the 2021-2022 school year, I taught physical education at Lucy Laney Elementary in North Minneapolis. This year I am teaching Stress Management, PE 9 and Volleyball.
I graduated from Mankato East High School in 2011 and spent the next 4 years attending the University of Minnesota- Twin Cities. I earned my Bachelors of Science in Youth Studies in 2015 and then took a year to serve as an Americorps Promise Fellow at Murray Middle School in Saint Paul. In 2016 I started a program at Grand Canyon State University to obtain my Master’s in Early Childhood Education but quickly learned through substitute teaching in Saint Paul High Schools that I wanted to teach high schoolers. So, back to school I went for my Masters of Education in Health and Physical Education at the University of Saint Thomas. I was lucky to student teach at Highland Park in 2020 and learn from some of the best! To better serve students, I have also obtained my certification in personal training from the National Academy of Sports Medicine.
Outside of school, I am a member of Minnesota Boat Club where I am primarily a coxswain for our competitive team, but I row and coach the Learn to Row program as well. In my free time, I enjoy working out, walking around Lake Nokomis, and attending sporting events!
