Hello! My name is Kaitlyn Burgess and I am a 4th grade teacher at Maxfield Elementary. I graduated from the University of Wisconsin-River Falls with a Bachelor’s Degree in Elementary Education. I am currently pursuing a Master’s Degree in Early Childhood Education. Outside of school I enjoy exercising, reading, enjoying a TV show, and spending time with family and friends. I am passionate about adventure, and it is my dream to travel all around the world.

I think that one of the most important parts of being a teacher is forming strong, lasting relationships with students, parents, staff members, and the community. Through positive relationships, we can work as a team to meet each student’s individual needs and provide all students with a strong education. Another thing I value is encouraging students to think positively about who they are and what they are capable of.
