Hi!  My name is Thanh Tran.  I am the Math Coach for grades 3-5.  I’ve been teaching in St. Paul for 23 years, with 18 years in the classroom teaching grades 3-5 and 5 years as the Elementary District Math Specialist.  This is my first year at Maxfield and I'm looking forward to working with the staff and students.  I love teaching students all subjects, but I have a strong love for mathematics.  

A little about myself.  I was born in Viet Nam but grew up in Fridley, MN.  I have my Bachelor's Degree in Elementary Education from St. John's University and a Master's Degree in Elementary Education from St. Mary's University.  When I have free time, I love to play sports and travel.  I grew up playing football, volleyball, track, soccer and tennis.  I've been to 49 of the 50 states and 20+ countries (Europe, Asia, Central America and Canada).
