Hi, I am Mrs. Bukovich and I am a Special Education Teacher at Global Arts Plus. This is my 9th year teaching at Global Arts Plus. Previoulsy, I taught at Humboldt Middle School and Lake Marion Elementary School, in Lakeville, MN. I Co-teach 6th Grade Writer's Workshop with Ms. Corrigan, 7th Grade ELA with Ms. Olivia Williams, 8th Grade ELA with Mr. Ben Mulhern. I also teach small group reading groups using the program, Sonday. I love seeing the bright smiles and positive attitudes from my students everyday. I love teaching at GAP. I treasure the relationships that I can build with my students and families. I love exploring different genres of reading with my students.
I live in Rosemount with my husband, Tony, and our children Mark and Katelynn. Mark is in his second year at Transition Plus in Apple Valley and Katelynn is a sophomore at Rosemount High School. We also have an adorable teddy bear puppy, Zoey who keeps us moving and running around. In my free time I love to be outdoors, read novels, watch sports, and spend time with my family at Lake Okoboji in Okoboji, Iowa. I love to watch the Iowa Hawkeyes and Minnesota Vikings. My family also enjoys watching the Minnesota Twins and Minnesota Wild. I grew up in West Bend, Iowa and graduated with a Bachelor of Arts in Teaching from the University of Northern Iowa. I obtained my Masters Degree in Teaching and Learning from St. Mary's University in Winona, MN.
I enjoy attending Special Olympics events with my son, Mark. He enjoys bowling, hockey and softball. My son, Mark, has a developmental cognitive delay, and attends a fabulous program at Transition Plus. My daughter, Katelynn dances on her high school team, Rosemount Irishettes. I enjoy watching her shine on the dance floor at competitions and dance recitals.
