Bonjour et bienvenue en 5ème!

My name is Chrystel Klein and I look forward to a successful year full of wonderful discoveries.

I came to Minnesota 23 years ago as an intern in the Edina French Immersion program. I have a Master's in Geography from France and a Master's in Education from St. Mary's University. I started my teaching experience working for two years as a sixth-grade social studies teacher in the extended French program at Valley View Middle School in Edina. This year will be my 16th year at L'Etoile du Nord French Immersion. I taught 5 years in 2nd grade, 4 years in 3rd grade and am now starting my 7th year in 5th grade.

I come from a town called Perpignan, in the south of France near Spain, on the Mediterranean Sea. I am married to a French pastry chef who I met here in Minnesota. I have two kids, a 11 year-old girl and a 7 year-old boy, two cats and one dog. I love to travel, good food and puzzles.

I can't wait to meet my new students and their family.
