Ms. Johnson

Queridos padres y familias,

Bienvenidos al año 2022-2023. I am looking forward to teaching this year. I hope everyone feels refreshed and ready to learn.

A little bit about myself ...
I grew up in St. Paul and attended St. Paul Public Schools through high school. (I'm an alumni of Capitol Hill)
I received my Spanish degree from the University of Minnesota.
I spent a total of 2.5 years travelling and studying in Mexico, Central, and South America.
I have taught in St. Paul for 19 years and Minneapolis for 1 year.
I live in St. Paul with my husband and two of four children (U of River Falls, NDSU, Central High, and LNFI).                                                                                    I fiddle, Scandinavian style.

The things I enjoy doing most are spending time with my family and friends, experiencing nature, travelling/camping, xc skiing, playing soccer, gardening, and cooking.I care about the environment and also creating a well-balanced life. In the future, I would like to be a forest ranger in the summertime.

This summer I went bikepacking for six days and spent time with my family camping, swimming,  and playing.

Again, I am extremely excited about this school year and look forward to both teaching and learning with students. My main goal is to create fun, engaging Spanish language activities to boost student learning and bring them together in a cohesive community.

¡Gracias!

Sra. Johnson
