Degrees and Certifications:
Welcome to a new school year. I'm looking forward to getting to know you as we work together to support your child's progress.
Let me introduce myself. I have been teaching in St. Paul for 12 years - the past 10 years as a first grade teacher.
I'm married and have one son, Kiel, who is now 24 and happily living in Madison, Wisconsin. I have two step-sons, one living locally and one living in Rochester. We welcomed our first grand baby last May and have enjoyed getting to know Ella and sharing the joy of parenthood with her mom and dad.
We live along the Mississippi River in Wisconsin, continuing to remodel an old houseboat so we can enjoy the river even more! I enjoy gardening, yoga, boating, bike riding, traveling, and spending time with friends and family. The past year I added quilting to my list of interests.
Every year, volunteers are welcomed into our classroom. The first graders LOVE working with visiting parents and grandparents. Things to consider volunteering for include: reading one-on-one with first graders, helping a small group of students work on the latest math topics, helping students edit their writing, and joining us on fieldtrips. We love having visitors and volunteers!
