The Cougar Branch is one of a kind!

The Cougar Branch, sponsored by St. Paul Federal Credit Union, is a full service Credit Union located in the commons and is accessible through the cafeteria at Como Park Senior High School.

Students can open accounts, perform transactions, play financial trivia, exchange bills, ask questions, and much more! Students can also get ATM/debit cards linked to their St. Paul Federal Credit Union accounts for easy cash access outside of school.

The credit union is open to all students and staff during all lunches and by appointment. The Cougar Branch is run by 2 student interns and a School Branch Coordinator. The branch offers paid internships available to freshman, sophomores and juniors. With this, students go through creating resumes, interview processes, and on-site training through the summer at our main office.

The overall goal of the Cougar Branch is to teach students and staff the importance of financial literacy. Some ways we do this are:

    • Information brochures available to students/staff
    • Going into classrooms to teach about financial topics
    • Answering questions
    • Giving financial advice
