Site Council

  • The Site Council is the leadership group formed at the school level that is comprised of the principal, staff, parents and community members. The Site Council serves in the role of principal advisory by providing the principal with input and community feedback. The principal has the primary decision making responsibilities.

    Site Council Roles:

    • Define school goals
    • Shape school policy and procedures
    • Solve problems
    • Help shape and support the school's mission
    • Help develop the School Continuous Improvement Plan (SCIP)
    • Drive school change and develop conditions for success
    • Have input into the selection of school staff and principal
    • Help plan and prioritize the school budget
