Ms. Jean Walker

I started my teaching career in 1987 teaching high school math and computer science. In 1992 my career took me to Highland Park Jr. High which is now known as Highland Park Middle School. I have had a number of different roles here, being a technology liaison, teaching computer science classes and a variety of math class; Pre-algebra, Algebra, Geometry and Algebra 2. I am looking forward to a great year.

When not at school I am trying to find ways to travel the world. My goal is to make it to all seven continents. I have made it to five contients so far and twenty-nine countries. Thinking about starting a goal a little closer to home and try to make it to all fifty states. Not always am I able to travel so while home and not busy with school I enjoy knitting, crocheting and reading.

Parents,

Math lessons will be provided twice a week for students. Videos and instructions are included with assignments in Schoology. If you are unable to understand an assignment please look for supporting video. Schoology will be organized using folders within the class dated according to the week. Inside the weekly folder the actual lessons will be found. I name assignments by class and date so please note that when looking for materials, lessons or places to submit work.

Please, please remember to reach out if you are struggling with finding materials or have questions. Since we are not in the school I will be asking people reach out with emails. I may be reached at jean.walker@spps.org.
