Welcome to Mr. Matuzak's class!! It's 2021 and we are back in the classroom. What a ride so far....
This is my 23rd year of teaching! WOW! I've been teaching here at Chelsea for 13 years!
I have three wonderful kids!
Ryan, my 22 year old son (I know... how can I possibly have a 22 year old?.. thanks!) He lives in Woodbury and has a puppy name Ginny. He works as a tattoo artist and at a manufaturing company in Eden Prairie. He is heading back to the U of M this fall to complete his Architecture degree.
My 18 year old son, Sam, graduated from South St. Paul High School this past June and it was a cool graduation parade! He is a freshman at Bemidji State Universtiy and is looking at the athletic field, perhaps a Physical therapist? He is in Bemidji after doing online learning at home the first half of the year.
My 16 year old High School Junior, Kayla, plays both varsity hockey and soccer at SSP. She is the starting goalkeeper in soccer! She also plays soccer for the Salvo soccer club at the premier level. Her plans are to be a student-athlete at Concordia St. Paul where she will continue playing soccer at the D2 level.
My wife, Mrs. Matuzak, got a promotion this past summer, and is an area trainer for apartment complexes throughout the cities. She keeps me on my toes and is a great mom to our three kids.
This past summer, we added to our family and got a new puppy. She was born in June and, well... has those puppy smells and teeth! Her name is Dakota. We also have 5 year yellow lab named Charlotte. She has done well with accepting the new puppy... kinda.
We have both enjoyed just being a part of our children's activities and cheering them on. So, that keeps us busy.
With drumming, drumcorps, music, soccer, tennis, hockey, college, and life... what could I possibly add to my life? I am a member of the Minnesota Vikings Skol Line! I've been a part of this for the past 13 years, and am fortunate enough to do the drum for the SKOL CHANT prior to the game. It's amazing have 65,000 people yell "SKOL!" after I hit the drum! This year will look different, but I will still be able to drum and cheer for the Vikings!
I'm looking forward to starting another year here at Chelsea. This year will be a new experience for us all, but I know that we can do it and accomplish a lot!!
Let's have a great rest of our year together and do our best!
