Ms. Dooley's Classroom
Degrees and Certifications:
Welcome to Ms. Dooley's page!
This is my 12th year at Murray and 18th year in St Paul Schools. My current role for the remainder this year is as the coach for our Restorative Practices initiative, now in it's 2nd year. In previous years, I taught various science courses. I also split my day for several years as a curriculum coach half time in addition to teaching science.
I am also a co-advisor for three extra-curricular activities: The National Junior Honor Society, WEB (Where Everyone Belongs), and the annual Murray Musical. All of these attract a large number of truly wonderful students and I am fortunate to be part of each of these groups.
Before Murray, I was at a K-8 school on the West End. Before that, I was an environmental chemist. I have a BA in Biology from the U of M, an Education Licence from Augsburg, A Masters in Science with a focus on Education from Bemidji State, and an Administrator License from Hamline. I have been a science teacher, curriculum coach, and data coach; teaching students and supporting teachers as they design new units and find different ways to engage learners. I love having a variety of things to do within the school -- Murray has a lot of interesting opportunities for learners and teachers!
We are currently forming a Restorative Parent group, who would learn the Circle process, and assist in Foundations once or twice per week from 7:15-8:00. Please contact me if you would like more information about this, or have any questions about restorative practices.
Most Foundations "assignments" are available through schoology.spps.org. Grades are accessible through Parent Portal or Student Portal.
