Ms. Dooley
Welcome to Ms. Dooley's page!
I've been at Murray since 2006 and St Paul Schools since 1999. I teach 7th grade Life Science and a Comparative Anatomy, which is an elective where students learn about how the Earth has changed over time and how that has shaped how plants and animals look.
I am also a co-advisor for the National Junior Honor Society, and assist with the annual Murray Musical. Each of these attract a large number of truly wonderful students and I am fortunate to be part of each of these groups.
Before Murray, I was at a K-8 school on the West End. Before that, I was an environmental chemist. I have a BA in Biology from the U of M, an Education Licence from Augsburg, A Masters in Science with a focus on Education from Bemidji State, and an Administrator License from Hamline. I have been a science teacher, curriculum coach, and data coach; teaching students and supporting teachers as they design new units and find different ways to engage learners. I love having a variety of things to do within the school -- Murray has a lot of interesting opportunities for learners and teachers!
When not teaching/grading/lesson planning, I enjoy hanging out with my husband, camping, cooking, walking my dog in the Como neighborhood, and traveling. I have two sons who attended Murray, the younger of whom just graduated from the U of M.
