Susan Johnson has been teaching in the Saint Paul Public Schools since 1997. This is her tenth year at EXPO Elementary. Over the course of her career, Susan has taught grades one through six and also served as the technology resource teacher. In addition to EXPO, she has taught at North End (now Music Magnet), Battle Creek Elementary, and Crossroads Elementary. In recent years, her interest in technology integration grew and she pursued a degree in Educational Technology. After years of exploring other grade levels and three years as a resource teacher, Susan is back in 5th grade where she started and fell in love with teaching.
Outside of school, Susan enjoys practicing yoga, traveling, cooking, gardening, live music, and spending time with her family. Ms. Johnson lives in the Como Park neighborhood in Saint Paul. She often walks the lake with her dog, Bernie!
Susan loves being a part of the EXPO community. She finds the staff and families supportive and great to work with.
