Degrees and Certifications:
Ms. Carlye Proescholdt
My name is Carlye Proescholdt (pronounced PRESH-HOLT) and I am one of the Pre-K teachers at Obama. This will be my first year at Obama and I am thrilled to be here! Prior to joining the team at Obama, I worked as an assistant teacher and long-term substitute in Pre-K with Minneapolis Public Schools for five years while I went back to school to pursue my master’s degree and teaching licenses (K-6 and Pre-Primary) from Concordia University in St. Paul.
I believe that positive early experiences at school set children up for a lifetime of success in education and in their lives, and I work to provide each and every scholar with high-quality school experiences during their year in Pre-K. My greatest hope is that your child feels loved and challenged at school and that they feel a sense of belonging with their school family. In Pre-K, we will work on early literacy and math skills in large and small groups, practice school routines, build friendships, and learn about the world around us through play and creative exploration!
When I’m not at school, you can find me exploring outside with friends and family—I love to kayak, hike, swim, camp, and go for walks. I love playing on my co-ed volleyball team, knitting, reading, and I also do Crossfit at a nearby gym. I am an auntie and I love spoiling my favorite little people with ice cream and staying up past bedtime!
I am so honored to be your child’s teacher this year at Obama and I look forward to meeting each family as we work together to support your scholar and discover their unique gifts! Please feel free to reach out via email (firstname.lastname@example.org) or phone (651.293.8625) if you’d like to connect with me. Thank you for sharing your child with me!!
