My name is Ms. Knudsen and I am the proud Principal at Obama Elementary School.

I have worked in St. Paul Public schools for over twenty years. I have been a para, a special education teacher, and a district coach. I received my Principal's license in 2005 from the University of St. Thomas.  I attended Hamline University, where I studied Psychology. I received my Master's in Education degree from the University of MN. 

I feel like I have come home at Obama because my first teaching job was here. My hope and dream for our scholars is that they will be awakened to their greatness and achieve at their highest level. I will support our scholars, staff and families to create a high-achieving, fun, and collaborative community. 

In my free time, I love hanging out with my family and our bulldog, Etta James. I enjoy traveling, yoga, house projects and barbecues.
